Israel Frieder, Ph.D., Chairman of the Board

Israel is the Chairman of the Board of IP Light, and has over 35 years of experience in the communications and investment industry, currently serving as Chairman or Director of several public and private companies, and on various investment committees. He founded and was the Chairman & CEO of ITAC (Israel Technology Acq. Corp.) raising $38M (OTCBB).

He also served as the President & CEO of Kardan Communications Ltd., an investment company whose portfolio including companies such as RRsat (Nasdaq:RRST),IVP, Teledata-Networks, SintecMedia and YES. Mr. Frieder served in various executive positions at ECI Telecom (Nasdaq:ECIL), including President of its US division DNI Inc., and as Corporate Vice President of Business Development & Strategic Planning. Earlier in his career, Mr. Frieder served as the President of Tadiran Telecommunication Ltd, Network Systems, during which time he founded four companies and grew sales from $30m to $350m.

He also served as the President and CEO of Elisra Tadiran, Public Switching Ltd.
Mr. Frieder is a winner of the Israel Defense Prize, 1979 and Israel Kaplan Prize, 1986. He holds a MS in Electrical Engineering from Technion-Israel Institute of Technology and MBA with distinction in Operational Research from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He received a PhD from the Graduate School of Business Administration at Bar-Ilan University, Ramat-Gan.

Ruben Markus, CEO - Director

Ruben is a co-founder of IP Light, and has served as its Chief Executive Officer since the foundation of the company in 2008. A hardware and systems engineer by training, Ruben Markus has nearly two decades of managerial, business and marketing expertise in the fields of optical and datacom networking.

Prior to co-founding IP Light, Ruben served as the CEO of TTI Telecom, a publicly traded software company specializing in Operations Support Systems (OSS) and prior to that as executive vice president of global sales & marketing for ECI Telecom, a telecom equipment provider with annual revenues of $700 million.

 In his multi-year role as the CEO of Enavis Networks, a SONET/SDH systems vendor, he grew the company from zero to over $1 billion in cumulative sales. He holds various patents in Telecommunications and Switching Systems and he earned his BS in Electrical Engineering from Tel Aviv University and an MBA in business administration from the Recanati School of Management of Tel Aviv University.

Yossi Moshe, Co-founder and VP R&D - Board Director

Yossi is a co-founder of IP Light, has spent over 20 years in key technical and managerial positions in industry-leading companies, and holds 6 patents in the field of Telecommunications, all of which give him an extensive and thorough understanding of networking and communication technologies an expertise in system and component architecture.

Before co-founding IP Light, Yossi was VP R&D, Operations and QA for Lynx Photonics, a privately held company that specialized in optical and photonic switching technologies. Prior to that, Yossi served as VP R&D for Enavis Networks, where he managed a 120-member R&D team that developed optical interfaces, wide-band, narrow-band and broadband cross-connect systems as well as the ASICs that constituted Enavis’ primary competitive edge. Yossi holds a BS in Electronic Engineering from Tel Aviv University.

Yoel Yogev, President & CEO, El-Gev – Director

President & CEO – El-Gev Electronics, a leading distributor of Electronics, Fiber-Optics & RF components and Embedded Computer Solutions. Yoel established El-Gev Electronics Ltd. focusing on high-performance technologies. Yoel holds a B.Sc. In Electrical Engineering from the reputed Technion – Israel Institute of Technology
